Catherine the Great would stop at nothing to get what she wanted and it was the Raphael Loggia created for Pope Leo X at the Vatican Palace that caught her eye. She like the colorful prints of the frescoes painted by Raphael that filled an entire wing at the Vatican so she made her own version of it (bottom).
